Matthias Nagel’s pop chorale is a classic in churches. Whether it’s a Sunday service, a church congress or a wedding – the prayer for peace at the end of a service is obligatory.
Chris Mews’ dynamic jazz arrangement makes this song suitable even for concerts. He creates an exciting version and alternates between a cappella parts and rhythmically accompanied passages.
The four-minute arrangement for mixed choir and jazz piano is carefully notated, somewhat more demanding than Nagel’s original, but still easy to sing and play. A cappella parts contain a piano score and chord symbols are notated throughout. A recommendation for jazz choirs and a nice challenge for gospel choirs and choirs.
